Friends in Faith Sunday School Class for February 14 9:30 AM

It has dawned on me the past few weeks that Valentine’s Day falls on Sunday this year.  Being that this does not happen too often I started thinking about the possibility of a Valentine’s Sunday School lesson.

The attached lesson is from The Thoughtful Christian (one of our church’s curriculum resources) and it is titled…Make Love Not War:  A History of Valentine’s Day.  (click the above text for the handout)

It is authored by Steve Lytch.  Steve is a Presbyterian pastor who has served in Virginia, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Kentucky.  Currently he lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The goal for this lesson is for us to learn the history of Valentine’s Day (which I must admit I did not fully know😀), reflect on different kinds of love, and consider how to grow in Christlike love.  I hope you will read it and join us for class this Sunday at 9:45 a.m.  I have included the Zoom link below so all you have to do is click on it around 9:35 and I will let you in.

Have a great week and I look forward to seeing each of you this Sunday!
