The Paramount Chamber Players

The Paramount Chamber Players open their 21st concert season with two of the most dramatic and thrilling works from the piano quartet repertoire: Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G Minor and Brahms’ Piano Quartet in C Minor. Mozart’s Quartet-set in a rare minor key for the composer-is a turbulent work in a stormy character, bursting with contrast and drama but ending in the sunshine key of G Major. Brahms’ C Minor Quartet is one of the composer’s greatest expressions of inner turmoil, possibly a confrontation with Brahms’ rumored unrequited love for Clara Schumann.
Joining TPCP for this performance are Evie Chen, violin; David Kovac, viola; Katherine Benson, piano; and welcoming to the stage for his first performance with TPCP, lgnacy Gaydamovich, cello.
