First Presbyterian offers a confirmation class for 8th graders beginning in September and ending in December.* The confirmation class explores Christian themes such as baptism, theology, and discipleship. The youth learn what it means to be a member of a church, and more specifically a disciple of Jesus. The class is meant to prepare the youth to make a decision to join the church, which they have a chance to do at the end of class. *Some years the Confirmation class is held in the Spring.
