Thanksgiving Dinner ~ Next Week!
We will celebrate Thanksgiving together at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16. The dinner will be catered by Golden Corral. Cost is $10; children ages 6-10 – $5; free for children under 6; $35 family max. You can make reservations at church on Sunday after both services. You can pay by cash or check at that time. Or make reservations online at www.fpckpt.org or by calling the church office (423-245-0104) by noon on Monday. You may also pay at the door.
Second Harvest Food Bank Workdays
We have two opportunities in November: 1) on Saturday, November 12 from 10:00 a.m. until noon, and 2) on Wednesday, November 16 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Let Bob Stoots know if you would like to work on one of these dates. (Call or text 423-782-6280)
Advent Coffee
The CF&N committee would like to invite all of you to the first ever ADVENT COFFEE. Let us gather together on the first Sunday of Advent starting this year November 27, 2022 and continuing every year thereafter. It will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 and replaces Sunday School for that Sunday. It is a time to rejoice in the coming of our Savior with HOPE. The church will provide coffee, punch and water. Everyone needs to bring a savory or sweet breakfast food. Examples: fruit, deviled eggs, biscuits, sausage, cheese straws, pastries, quiche, muffins, etc. Any Christmas food is also welcomed. Don and Karen Thompson’s famous nativity scenes will be on display. Hope to see you there!
Wayne’s Retirement Celebration
We will honor Wayne Dinsmore for his many years of service to our church after the 11:00 a.m. service on December 4. If you would like to bring a food item, please let Becca Wright or Claudia Byrd know. Suggested items are finger foods, heavy hors d’oeuvres, vegetable or fruit plates or kabobs.
