Return to the Lord’s Table
This is a just a reminder that, on January 3rd, we are resuming our celebration of the Lord’s Supper. We will be celebrating it in a new way. On the first Sunday of each month, as is our tradition, we will convene at 12:15 in our homes to share the Sacrament remotely. I will be officiating the service, as usual, standing behind the Communion Table and you will be gathered in your homes. We will follow the normal liturgy associated with Communion, including the Invitation and prayers. I will prompt you when it is time for you to partake of the elements and we will close each celebration in a special prayer and the singing of the Doxology. We will continue to celebrate it remotely until it is safe to resume “in-person Communion”. Where health permits, please prepare yourself for this Sacrament by fasting from midnight on the night before we partake. And, please continue to pray for the safe end to this Pandemic and for all those who still suffer from this virus and grieve the loss of those who have died from it.
