The event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2022, and is designed for high school and college students age 16 plus to earn one to eight hours of community service while experiencing recycling and sustainability programs that support Goodwill’s Core Value #11: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse & Repurpose.
Please distribute as appropriate to your youth ministry staff to share with students who need community service to meet financial aid, course, or graduation requirements during the 2022 Fall Semester.
- Pre-registration is required by scanning the QR code on the flyer and completing/submitting the registration form.
- The day is designed so that students can phase in and out during and after the school day by registering for 1 to 8 hours and designating their own start and end times between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the registration form.
- Enrollments are limited and more information can be obtained by calling 423-426-3922 or emailing volunteerservices@goodwilltnva.org.
- Each participant (parent/legal guardian if under 18) is required to complete the Volunteer Acknowledgment and Agreement Form as part of the registration process.
- Proof of identity (photo ID) is required for check-in on November 15th.
- The location of the event is at the Goodwill Tenneva Processing Center (formerly Traders Village) at 2745 East Stone Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660.
- Check-ins can occur between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. so at least one service hour can be earned before the event ends at 7:00 p.m.
- Breakfast, lunch, and snack items are provided.
