Day of Service Second Harvest Food Bank July 17, 2024
First Presbyterian Church volunteers will gather for a day of fun, fellowship and service at Second Harvest Food Bank on July 17, 2024. Everyone is welcome: members, visitors, family and friends! Summer months offer an opportunity for students (10yrs and up) to join in the fun! Please contact Bob Stoots by email, cell or text (423-782-6280) to register for either or both morning session (10am-Noon) or afternoon session (1pm-3pm). We would love to have you join in!
To Be Continued…In Us – A Sermon Series on Acts Beginning May 5, 2024
Beginning May 5, 2024, Dr. Shelton will do a sermon series entitled “TO BE CONTINUED”, based on Acts. Luke, its author, calls it “ACTS OF APOSTLES” but it might be called the ACTS OF HOLY SPIRIT. Acts was never meant to be APOSTLES’ GREATEST HITS. The main character wasn’t John, Peter, or Paul but the HOLY SPIRIT. Luke picks up after Easter. The Disciples wait in an Upper Room, huddled in fear. The HOLY SPIRIT comes in a mighty way…

Lemonade on the Lawn!Please join us for Lemonade on the Lawn this Sunday after both services. We will serve homemade cookies and lemonade in the hallway leading from the chapel after the first service, and after the 11:00 a.m. service we will serve the lemonade and cookies outside under the Porte-cochere. Come and join us for this delightful treat!
